How It Works
What happens when you paste a link into PostsViewer, in plain words. No login, no app, and nothing stored on our side.
1. You paste a link
Copy the link of a public Instagram post or reel (tap ⋯ or Share, then “Copy link”) and paste it into the box on our Instagram Posts Viewer or Instagram Reels Viewer.
2. Your browser checks the link
The check runs in your own browser. We only accept instagram.com links to posts and reels, and we rebuild a clean link ourselves, so nothing else you typed is used. Story links are refused because Instagram does not allow websites to show stories.
3. Instagram shows the post
We place Instagram's official embed on the page, the same one Instagram gives out with its “Embed” button. Instagram then loads the post or reel directly from instagram.com. The content stays with its creator, and you can open it on Instagram with one click.
What we don't do
- We don't ask for your Instagram password or log in to any account.
- We don't store the links you paste or copies of posts.
- We don't show stories, highlights or private accounts.
- We don't download other people's content.
Why a post sometimes doesn't show
- The account is private, or the post was deleted.
- The post is age-restricted, or the owner turned off embedding.
- An ad blocker or a slow connection blocked Instagram's embed script.
