How It Works
What happens when you use PostsViewer, in plain words. No login, no app, and no copies of photos or videos kept on our side.
1. You enter a username or a link
Type the username of a public account into the profile, posts, reels or story tools, or paste the link of a public post or reel into a downloader.
2. We check the input
Usernames and links are validated before anything is sent. We accept only plain usernames and instagram.com post and reel links.
3. Our server fetches public data
Our server asks a data provider for the public information. Your Instagram account is never involved and we never ask for a password. The answer is kept for a short time (minutes to an hour) so repeat lookups are fast, then discarded.
4. You view or save it
Profile details, stories, highlights, posts and reels appear on the page. When you press a save button, the file downloads straight from our data provider and is not stored on our servers.
What we don't do
- We don't ask for your Instagram password or log in to any account.
- We don't keep copies of photos, videos or stories.
- We can't show private accounts or lists of followers.
Why something sometimes doesn't show
- The account is private, or the post was deleted.
- The account has no active story or highlight right now.
- The data service is busy or limited. Try again in a moment.
